Redeem an iTunes App Store coupon from the iTunes Store home page on your PC or Mac — click Redeem under Quick Links, not from the app's page or on your iPhone.

Find your iPhone or iPod Touch UDID without Xcode by clicking the Serial Number label in iTunes to reveal the Identifier field, then copying it from the Edit menu.
