About Me

Hi, I’m Mohanjith Sudirikku Hannadige — a Lead Product Designer based in Kirkkonummi, Finland, with a passion for building things that work well and look good doing it.

Background

I grew up in Sri Lanka and moved to Finland in 2012, settling in Gesterby, Kirkkonummi. I’m a Finnish citizen, and I’m fluent in Finnish, English and Sinhala — with some Swedish along the way.

My academic background spans a Bachelor’s degree in IT and an MBA, and I’ve spent the better part of two decades in software development — 19 years of career experience in total, with over 15 of those in management or team leadership roles.

What I Do

By day I work as a Lead Product Designer at a company in Espoo. I enjoy the full spectrum of software work: architecture decisions, hands-on coding, mentoring teams, and the occasional late-night debugging session.

This site started as a Sri Lanka postal code directory — a side project combining my roots with my love for clean data and well-built web tools. The blog goes back even further, to 2007, and covers everything from Linux tinkering and WordPress plugins to cloud infrastructure and mobile devices.

Outside Work

When I’m not in front of a screen I’m usually jogging in the forests of Kirkkonummi with my dog, or on the dance floor — I dance both socially and competitively.

I believe the best communities, whether at work, in hobbies or in a neighbourhood, are built on trust and encouragement. That belief shapes how I try to show up in all of them.
